All the blogs are abuzz with the news that Kuwait (and Saudi Arabia) are now on the PayPal list. I was so excited I could barely sleep last night. Visions of shopping and finally being able to receive payments (from Editors) were definitely dancing in this girl's head! So, I immediately signed up for an account and started fooling around with the buttons. I clicked on "Withdraw Funds" and it said that this option is not available for Kuwait. Huh?? So, apparently you can only "ADD" funds but you cannot "Withdraw". This sucks! I hate PayPal!

Yep, this seriously sucks. I just won an item in ebay from a Kuwaiti seller who advertised paypal as his payment method. I tried to pay and "Transaction cancelled - PayPal does not accept payments to Kuwait accounts". Dunno how I'm going to pay the guy or get my stuff :( :(
just transfer the money through Western Union...they are all over Kuwait! -Sumi

paypal is accepting kuwait and it is true..once signed up you need to be verified first...but as a buyer only and not to be a seller yet...paypal has still to accept kuwait bank accounts in order to recieve payment. I buy using my NBK card smoothly:-)

Hi! As this post was written back in 2007, just wanted to know if this is this still the case with paypal or can payments now be made to my Kuwait bank account? This one mystery shopping company only pays via paypal, so I guess I wont get paid if I do the shop?
If your account is personal, you can receive payments from other paypal accounts only.
If you upgrade to premier or bussiness. you can receive payments from credit cards.
You can use your paypal balance to buy from any website that accepts paypal. But, you still need a US bank account to withdraw funds.
Well, I do not actually imagine it may work.
